How harmful is aluminum?

The short answer is that no one really knows how harmful aluminum is to your body. Some studies have linked aluminum to terrible maladies, including breast cancer, kidney disease and Alzheimer’s. That’s why deodorant that contains aluminum tells you to consult a doctor if you have kidney disease. We created Native Deodorant because deodorant is applied daily to a sensitive area of your body, and we wanted a safe and healthy alternative as compared to the existing options. 

What's the difference between deodorant and anti-perspirant?

Anti-perspirant prevents you from sweating. That is, the aluminum contained in anti-perspirant acts as a plug on your body’s sweat ducts and prevents you from sweating and releasing other toxins. Deodorant works by eliminating and absorbing the moisture and odors associated with sweat.

What does switching to Native Deodorant feel like?

After two weeks of use, Native Deodorant will feel cleaner and less toxic than traditional deodorants. We recommend you use it for two weeks because that is the amount of time your body will require to purge itself of the aluminum and other chemicals that remain under your arm after you make the switch.  

Native Deodorant is applied easily and will offer you effective protection against odors and wetness.

What is the difference between the women's and men's deodorants?

The only difference between our men’s and women’s deodorants are the scents! Both have the same high-performance, award-winning formula!

Is Native Deodorant cruelty-free?

Yes, Native Deodorant is cruelty-free.  We never test on animals, except humans who volunteer to try Native.

Does it take time to adjust after I switch deodorants?

While it can take your body up to two weeks in order to adjust to Native, most people are able to make the switch instantly and successfully!

Does Native have a referral program? How does it work?

We sure do! If you’re loving Native and want to share with a friend, we offer referral rewards through our referral program! Once an order has been placed through your link, an email will be sent to you with your reward (a code for a free travel size with your next order)! What does it mean to subscribe to Native Deodorant?

A subscription to Native Deodorant allows you to receive one bar or multiple bars of Native Deodorant at a consistent frequency. This way, you never run out of Native! Native Deodorant is $12 per deodorant if you purchase individually, or $10 per deodorant if you subscribe.

First things first, please note that you are not obligated to subscribe to Native Deodorant when making a purchase. You can purchase bars individually or opt-in and subscribe. By default, you are not subscribed to Native Deodorant. In order to subscribe, simply check the “SUBSCRIBE & SAVE 17%” checkbox on the CART page as you checkout. Please note that certain items, such as seasonal scents, are not available through a subscription, since they are available only for a limited time.

Once you have subscribed, you will be in complete control of your subscription. You can change the scents you receive, the frequency you receive them or even your next shipping date at any time. I have a Native Deodorant subscription. How can I get a seasonal scent?

Thanks so much for subscribing to Native! Since our seasonal scents are available only for a short period of time, we’re not able to switch your subscription to a seasonal scent. However, if you shoot us an email at [email protected], we can set up a non-scheduled subscription package for you at the discounted price with the seasonal scent you’d like!

We use caprylic/capric triglyceride (which is a fancy way of saying fractionated coconut oil), arrowroot powder, stearyl alcohol, baking soda, shea butter, coconut oil, hydrogenated castor oil, polyglycerol-3 beeswax (which is a fancy way of saying cera bellina wax), jojoba esters, tocopherol (which is a fancy way of saying Vitamin E), L. acidophilus (which is a natural bacteria found in your body already), maltodextrin, glyceryl caprylate, and glyceryl undecylenate. Our scented deodorants include oils. Due to FDA recommendations, we use the term “fragrance” to refer to these oils.

Does Native Deodorant contain aluminum?

No. Native Deodorant is aluminum-free.

Does Native Deodorant contain parabens?

No. Native Deodorant is paraben-free.

Does Native Deodorant contain phthalates?

No. Native Deodorant is phthalate-free.

We offer UPS 2 Day Shipping within the United States for $10, regardless of the size of your order. This allows for you to receive your package 2 business days after it is shipped. Expedited shipping fees are non-refundable. Please note that if you are shipping to Hawaii, Alaska, PO Boxes, or a US Territory, expedited shipping may take additional time but will be faster than our free shipping method. 

We also offer USPS International Shipping for $10. This expedites your order, but we cannot guarantee delivery times internationally.
