Anti-perspirant prevents you from sweating. That is, the aluminum contained in anti-perspirant acts as a plug on your body’s sweat ducts and prevents you from sweating and releasing other byproducts of sweat. Natural deodorant works by reducing and neutralizing odors associated with sweat.

A subscription to Native allows you to receive one or multiple Native products at a consistent frequency. This way, you never run out of Native! Native Deodorant is $12 per deodorant if you purchase individually, or $10 per deodorant if you subscribe.

First things first, please note that you are not obligated to subscribe to Native when making a purchase. You can purchase bars individually or opt-in and subscribe. By default, you are not subscribed to Native. In order to subscribe, simply choose the Subscribe option on the product page, or check the Subscribe checkbox on the Cart page. Please note that certain items are not available through a subscription.

Once you have subscribed, you will be in complete control of your subscription. You can change the scents you receive, the frequency you receive them or even your next shipping date at any time. In addition, you can update your address, cancel your subscription, or skip a shipment at any time simply by logging into your account.

Native deodorant is not an antiperspirant. We are pro-perspiration, anti-feeling wet. We believe your body knows best, so we work with your body’s natural processes to keep you feeling dry and smelling fresh.

Our stance is that people should have options. If you are concerned about aluminum or phthalates, we have an option that actually works and helps you feel good about what you are putting on your body.

Native Toothpaste has the following ingredients: Glycerin, Water, Hydrated Silica, Xylitol, Sodium Cocoyl Glutamate, Xanthan Gum, Peppermint Oil, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Stevia Rebaudiana Extract, Charcoal Powder, Carrageenan, Titanium Dioxide.

We formulated deodorants specifically for those who are sensitive to baking soda. Check out Coconut & Vanilla (Sensitive) or Cotton & Lily (Sensitive). The formula does not contain baking soda. You can check them out here!

Yes. Native Deodorant is gluten-free.

We are committed to using only the highest quality ingredients, however they are not organic. We source our maltodextrin from non-GMO corn and our probiotics are non-dairy cultured.

Ingredient safety and quality is our top priority. That’s why we choose to use a hypoallergenic blend of oils that are both synthetically and naturally derived. Our goal is to minimize allergic reactions, our impact on the environment, and maintain our high quality standards. Unfortunately, many natural fragrances contain impurities, are unsustainably harvested, and cause reactions on skin. All of our products are phthalate free, paraben free, and more. We abide by the International Fragrance Regulatory Association (IFRA) guidelines to ensure the safety of our formulations.

Shipping is free on all orders to the United States. We also offer expedited shipping within the United States for $10.

We offer free shipping on international orders for orders over $30, as well as subscription refills. *This is a new change as of 7/28/20 for we have upgraded our shipping service to cover customs fees and to provide more accurate tracking.

We love the products we make and think you will, too. If you don’t enjoy your first package from Native, let us know so that we can help you return or exchange your products within 30 days of receipt for a full refund.

In fact, we’re so confident that you’ll love Native that we’ll even cover the cost of return shipping if you choose not to keep your first package.

Please note that we’re not able to accept returns or exchanges for orders shipped internationally, or for individual mini and travel size products. In addition, expedited shipping fees are non-refundable.

Please note that it often takes the service carrier 24-48 hours to scan a package and then update the tracking information within their system. Rest assured that your order has shipped and is on its way to you! You should be able to see an update within 2 business days of shipment.

We ship out all orders within one to two business days.

Within the United States, your package will arrive 3-7 business days after shipping. If you purchase expedited shipping, your package will arrive two business days after it is shipped.

Within Canada, Australia, France, Germany, and the United Kingdom, your package will arrive 7-12 business days after shipping. We cannot guarantee delivery times internationally; COVID19 may heavily delay international shipping.

Yes!

We offer UPS 2 Day Shipping within the United States for $10, regardless of the size of your order. This allows for you to receive your package 2 business days after it is shipped. Expedited shipping fees are non-refundable. Please note that if you are shipping to Hawaii, Alaska, PO Boxes, or a US Territory, expedited shipping may take additional time but will be faster than our free shipping method.

Yes! Exchanges are available on your first order from Native for 30 days after you receive your package. If you are interested in exchanging your deodorant, send a note to support@nativecos.com.

Please note that exchanging your deodorant will void the return policy. In addition, we’re not able to accept exchanges with respect to orders shipped internationally or for .35oz mini deodorants.

All of our products are free of parabens (a chemical preservative used in cosmetics and personal care). We recommend using deodorants and soaps within 18 months of receiving. For Body Wash we recommend using within 12 months. 

Our natural ingredients allow our deodorant to withstand temperatures up to 90 degrees fahrenheit. We know that summer temperatures can go well past that so if you are concerned about the texture of your deodorant please feel free to reach out to us! 

There are no rules to when you should apply your deodorant.  If you are new to Native, we recommend applying to clean, towel dried pits. This makes after a shower - or bubble bath - ideal timing.

Switching to an aluminum free deodorant is easy. No need to detox or prep yourself in anyway. Just apply 2-3 swipes in each armpit, and you are good to go. 

Your armpits will detox naturally when you stop using an antiperspirant.  Just switching to our aluminum free deodorant is a great first step. If you do feel like you need to do something to help remove built up bacteria in your armpits, our customers love to apply a bentonite clay pit mask. Then apply your deo to dry, clean armpits. Repeat every other week or whenever you need a reset!

The only difference between our men’s and women’s deodorants are the scents! Both have the same high-performance, award-winning formula!

Our Teen Deodorant uses a slightly gentler formula that is developed for more sensitive skin. We also optimized the scents for that age group. While we focused the formulation on ages 8 - 18, any adult should feel free to pick up one of our fun youthful scents!

Our deodorant is known for its effective odor protection. We use  natural ingredients, like baking soda, to neutralize odor causing bacteria so you don’t need to worry about any unpleasant smells by the end of the day. 

It can take your body up to two weeks in order to adjust to Native. That being said, most people are able to make the switch instantly and successfully!

After using Native for two weeks, your armpits will be purged of the aluminum and chemicals that were left over from your old deodorant. Since Native deodorant is made with natural ingredients your armpits will feel smoother and odors will be neutralized.

Yes! Our classic formula is specifically formulated to be hypoallergenic. If other natural deodorants have irritated you in the past, we recommend you try our baking soda free sensitive options.

An example: Native’s classic deodorant used to contain beeswax. You let us know that vegan ingredients were really important to you, so we created a new formula, tested it with some of our customers to make sure that it worked as well or better than the previous formula, and brought that new formula to market. You made our vegan formula happen.

Our Plastic Free Deodorant is our same aluminum free, paraben free, phthalate free, talc free, sulfate free, vegan deodorant formula, just in new 0% plastic packaging! Our packaging for Plastic Free is 100% paperboard and 100% plastic free.

The application of our Plastic Free Deodorant is a little different than our classic deodorant. These directions below should help!
1. Use a finger to slightly push up the deodorant from the bottom 
2. Keep your finger in place inside the tube and apply under the arms
3. When you are done tap the deodorant twice for it to slide back into the tube
