What's the difference between deodorant and antiperspirant?

Anti-perspirant prevents you from sweating. That is, the aluminum contained in anti-perspirant acts as a plug on your body’s sweat ducts and prevents you from sweating and releasing other byproducts of sweat. Natural deodorant works by reducing and neutralizing odors associated with sweat.

Is there an adjustment period when switching from my normal antiperspirant to Native deodorant?

While it can take your body up to two weeks in order to adjust to Native, most people are able to make the switch instantly and successfully!

What does switching to Native Deodorant feel like?

After two weeks of use, Native Deodorant will feel cleaner and simpler than traditional deodorants. We recommend you use it for two weeks because that is the amount of time your body will require to purge itself of the aluminum and other chemicals that remain under your arm after you make the switch.

Native Deodorant is applied easily and will offer you effective protection against odors.

What is the difference between the women's and men's deodorants?

The only difference between our men’s and women’s deodorants are the scents! Both have the same high-performance, award-winning formula!

Is Native tested on animals?

No, we never test on animals except humans who volunteer to try Native.

Where do you ship?

We ship to the United States, Canada, Australia, Brazil, France, Germany, Switzerland, Netherlands, and the United Kingdom.

Is COVID-19 impacting the shipment of my order?

Due to COVID-19, shipping carriers are experiencing occasional delays for some orders.

No need to worry, your order will be processed as soon as possible, and you’ll automatically receive shipping updates with tracking as soon as your order is in the mail. We hope you're staying safe and healthy, and thanks for your understanding and patience.

Is your deodorant also an antiperspirant?

Native deodorant is not an antiperspirant. We are pro-perspiration, anti-feeling wet. We believe your body knows best. We don’t think plugging your sweat glands is great for your body, which is why there is zero aluminum in our deodorants. Instead, we work with your body’s natural processes to keep you feeling dry and smelling fresh.

Are natural deodorants really better?

Let’s be honest, scientific evidence about the long-term effects of aluminum is inconclusive. Our stance is that people should have options. If you are concerned about aluminum or phthalates impact on your health, we have an option that actually works and helps you feel good about what you are putting on your body.

Can I add additional discounts to my Native subscriptions?

No, we cannot add any additional discounts to subscription orders.

Will Native deodorant protect me from odor just as well as your average antiperspirant?

Our deodorant is known for its effective odor protection. We use natural ingredients, like baking soda, to neutralize odor causing bacteria so you don’t need to worry about any unpleasant smells by the end of the day.

Why choose Native rather than any other natural deodorant brand?

We’re awesome! Say more? OK.

Our products actually work. Our products are thoughtfully formulated and use only the highest quality ingredients. Our products were made for our customers. If a product is working you let us know, and if it’s not working let us know that too! That way we can get to work and fix it.

An example: Native’s classic deodorant used to contain beeswax. You let us know that vegan ingredients were really important to you, so we created a new formula, tested it with some of our customers to make sure that it worked as well or better than the previous formula, and brought that new formula to market. You made our vegan formula happen.

That customer centric mentality has earned us over 15,000 5 star reviews from happy customers who use and love Native.

Are Native ingredients organic?

We are committed to using only the highest quality ingredients, however they are not organic. We source our maltodextrin from non-GMO corn and our probiotics are non-dairy cultured.

Are Native fragrances natural?

Ingredient safety and quality is our top priority. That’s why we choose to use a hypoallergenic blend of oils that are both synthetically and naturally derived. Our goal is to minimize allergic reactions, our impact on the environment, and maintain our high quality standards. Unfortunately, many natural fragrances contain impurities, are unsustainably harvested, and cause reactions on skin. All of our products are phthalate free, paraben free, and more. We abide by the International Fragrance Regulatory Association (IFRA) guidelines to ensure the safety of our formulations.
